The Urban Instititute conducted interviews with stakeholders covering seven different policies that were supported directly or indirectly by Cost of Home. Participants shared background and details on the policies they supported as well as the impact of those policy changes on their communities.
For Jessica, there has never been anything more important than providing a safe and secure home for her two children. Seeing her youngest crawling in an unhealthy home, Jessica says, “That was my breaking point where I said, ‘I need to make a move,’ and Habitat was that move.”

On June 12, Habitat for Humanity will launch our first national advocacy campaign to mobilize local Habitat organizations, partners, volunteers and community members across the country to find solutions and help create policies that will allow 10 million individuals to have access to affordable homes.
