Over the lifetime of the relationship, Whirlpool has given more than $140 million in funding and donated products supporting nearly 200,000 Habitat households in the U.S. and close to 1 million people in more than 50 countries worldwide.
This week, at the Buildings and Climate Global Forum in Paris, governments signed on to endorse a Déclaration de Chaillot, or common declaration, outlining common principles and cooperation framework for global efforts to achieve decarbonisation and climate change resilience in the buildings sector.
Since the national partnership began in 2003, Lowe’s and Habitat have worked together to help more than 18,000 people build or improve a place to call home.
The award will be used to help Habitat affiliates across the U.S. further address the systemic barriers that have prevented many underserved populations, particularly Black Americans, from owning homes.
National Healthy Homes Month aims to increase awareness of the critical need for healthier and safer housing, with the overall goal of improving the health of individuals and families.

J.M. Huber Corporation, a global supplier of engineered materials solutions, consumer and industrial products, announced today that it will donate $500,000 to Habitat for Humanity International to support multiple projects in 2023 and 2024.
The news was shared with a ceremonial passing of the hammer between Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region and Twin Cities Habitat during the closing ceremony of this year’s weeklong blitz build in Charlotte.
