Working together to increase housing affordability and create a better world
Habitat for Humanity and Wells Fargo have collaborated for nearly three decades, sharing a vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Since 2010, Wells Fargo has funded new home construction and critical home repairs, including providing support for older adults and veterans, and supported neighborhood revitalization and disaster response. Nationwide, Wells Fargo Builds helped families build or improve 386 homes in 2021.
Through the years, Wells Fargo employees have put on hard hats and picked up hammers to build alongside homeowners as they make their dreams of having a safe, decent and affordable home come true. Together, Habitat and Wells Fargo are committed to helping even more families gain greater access to affordable homes — and a brighter future.
We helped families build, rehab and repair 386 homes through Wells Fargo Builds across the U.S. in 2021.
Working together, we’ve served 1,285 people, including 395 first-time homeowners, 271 families of color, 27 veterans and 82 older Americans. We also prioritized green building practices when possible. Click different states to see highlights.
Making a difference for families through homeownership

Having been raised in foster care, Sara, a mother of three who owns her own cleaning business, understands how having a decent home gives children a sense of belonging. “It’s the beginning of the legacy I am building for my children to carry on,” she says of her Habitat home.

Luz has moved multiple times with her mother, daughter and granddaughter to find safe and decent housing in an increasingly unaffordable housing market. Now, Luz, a dietary aid cook, and her family look forward to having peace of mind in their new Habitat home.

“It makes me feel great knowing my son will have his own room and more space to see him smile,” says Jason, a single dad who works for the postal service. Now that Jason is achieving his dream of becoming a homeowner, he’s excited to tackle his next goal: becoming a New York City firefighter.

After searching for an affordable home for five years, Chad and Courtney are finally making their dreams come true as Habitat homeowners. The couple looks forward to paying an affordable mortgage in the same community where they’ve lived for eight years — and raising their baby daughter there.

Alfie, a mother of two, has dreamed of a home that will be accessible for her daughter who has cerebral palsy. Soon, the family will move into a home with a ceiling-mounted lift system that will give Alfie’s daughter greater mobility as she continues to grow.

Tracee, a retail manager, and Zach, a journeyman, share a bedroom with their daughter and need more space for their family of four. The couple can’t wait to move into their Habitat home, where their children will have plenty of room to play and grow.
