Wesco employees participated in projects including new home construction, home repairs and rehab projects with local Habitat affiliates within communities where they work and reside.
National Healthy Homes Month aims to increase awareness of the critical need for healthier and safer housing, with the overall goal of improving the health of individuals and families.
The award will be used to help Habitat affiliates across the U.S. further address the systemic barriers that have prevented many underserved populations, particularly Black Americans, from owning homes.
Since the national partnership began in 2003, Lowe’s and Habitat have worked together to help more than 18,000 people build or improve a place to call home.
On Wednesday, May 10, Habitat will convene a virtual panel of housing and mental health experts to explore the ways in which safe, affordable housing is connected to holistic wellbeing, and solutions for scaling efforts that achieve both.
