Habitat for Humanity International Joins Call to Alleviate Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza

ATLANTA, GA (April 26, 2024) — Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International, has co-signed a letter with InterAction, a leading alliance of NGOs and partners in the United States, and 50 other member CEOs, urging President Biden to take decisive and actionable steps to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

In the letter, the coalition of leaders from the world’s leading humanitarian organizations has outlined specific steps and commitments that can save numerous civilian lives and alleviate the suffering of Palestinians on the brink of famine.

The letter specifically calls for:
  1. An immediate and lasting ceasefire to ensure the safety of civilians and aid workers.

  2. The facilitation of full and unimpeded access to principled humanitarian aid.

  3. The prevention of further escalation of military operations in Rafah.
