Europe housing Day

Europe Housing Day

The first edition of the Europe Housing Day will take place on November 14, at Thon Hotel EU in Brussels.

Join us, either in person or online, to:

  • Discuss how to tackle energy poverty through energy-efficient renovations in Europe.

  • Explore the adaptation of underused spaces to increase affordable housing.

  • Delve into the transformative potential of the EU Social Climate Fund in the context of housing.

The event, organized by Habitat for Humanity, aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among EU policymakers, practitioners, researchers, urban planners, government representatives, international organizations, NGOs, donors and various actors of the housing system.

The topics to be addressed are highly relevant to the European Green Deal agenda and related strategies such as the Renovation Wave aimed at driving energy efficiency in the housing sector and economic growth in Europe.

By leveraging the collective expertise of participants, the event will promote the pivotal role of decent and affordable housing in driving economic growth, fostering sustainable cities and communities, and encouraging innovative solutions.
