Habitat for Humanity joins the world in mourning the death of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter. A champion for affordable and decent housing, he and Rosalynn Carter donated their time and leadership each year to build and improve homes with Habitat around the world.
During Habitat on the Hill, advocates from 47 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico will meet with nearly 300 congressional leaders about the challenging housing affordability issues facing communities everywhere.

As part of its 2026 commitment, Nissan will partner with 10 Habitat affiliates across the United States to support home building projects. Nissan will also donate durable work trucks to aid Habitat’s efforts.
The three-year partnership will focus on expanding affordable housing and supporting community impact initiatives globally.
