From 2013-2024, the U.S. Agency for International Development Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity International and supported by InterAction, sponsored select graduate students through a fellowship, helping bolster the students’ research and futures in the humanitarian shelter and settlement sector.

The place Sheila called home for nearly 70 years had a leaky roof and an inaccessible bathroom, but she lacked the finances to pay for the repairs herself. Habitat and Lowe’s helped Sheila repair her roof and bathroom, ensuring she can comfortably live in her beloved childhood home.
Constellation’s support, which was committed to the Habitat for Humanity regional partners prior to the pandemic, will be adapted to the areas of greatest need in four local regions as Habitat for Humanity teams work to meet unprecedented needs during the pandemic.
During the 2017-2018 service year, AmeriCorps members will contribute more than 595,000 hours of service toward building or improving Habitat homes in 125 communities in partnership with 1,700 homeowners.
