The Scott Brothers join Habitat to kick off the Home is the Key campaign, which puts the spotlight on affordable housing and enlists leading corporations and their customers to support housing solutions.
AbbVie, a research-based global biopharmaceutical company, announced a donation of $100 million to two organizations, Habitat for Humanity International and Direct Relief, to strengthen access to housing and healthcare in Puerto Rico.
Working with local Habitat organizations, new and returning Habitat AmeriCorps service members will help to build or improve homes alongside future and existing Habitat homeowners and volunteers. Members are expected to contribute more than 426,700 hours of service during the 2021-2022 service year.
More than 450 advocates from 44 states and Washington, D.C., will urge Congress to act and prioritize policies that will increase the number of affordable homes, especially for entry-level homeownership.
Simpson Strong-Tie has committed $450,000 to Habitat for Humanity to help build safe and affordable homes. Funding will also support the housing organization’s Habitat Strong program, which uses building methods to improve durability, resiliency and strength to uphold against severe climate conditions.
