During the 2017-2018 service year, AmeriCorps members will contribute more than 595,000 hours of service toward building or improving Habitat homes in 125 communities in partnership with 1,700 homeowners.

As Hurricane Irma makes landfall in the Caribbean and moves toward the United States, Habitat for Humanity is preparing to expand its hurricane recovery response.
Working with local Habitat organizations, new and returning Habitat AmeriCorps service members will help to build or improve homes alongside future and existing Habitat homeowners and volunteers. Members are expected to contribute more than 426,700 hours of service during the 2021-2022 service year.
