All Habitat kitchens in the U.S. and Canada for the past 20 years have been outfitted with a Whirlpool refrigerator and range thanks to the Whirlpool Corporation. It was in her mother’s kitchen, on those appliances, where Chef Ro taught herself basics of cooking and changed the trajectory of her life.
After her partner died, Dina feared that she would be unable to make ends meet on a single income and wanted nothing more than to provide a safe and stable home for her daughters. Now, her dreams are coming true with support from Habitat and Wells Fargo Builds.

The 2018 Carter Work Project will be hosted by Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County, Indiana, on Aug. 26-31. We invite you to join President and Mrs. Carter and hundreds of volunteers to help build or improve more than 30 homes in Mishawaka and South Bend.
