Habitat is calling on delegates at the COP28 climate change conference to prioritize the housing needs of vulnerable populations, particularly those who are living in slums and informal settlements, by taking action that will meaningfully address the impact of climate change on safe, decent and affordable housing.
During the month of April, more than 400 Kum & Go locations engaged store associates and encouraged customers to donate to Habitat at checkout, which raised more than $547,000.
Johnson Controls Foundation’s $750,000 donation supports Habitat’s mission of building homes, communities and hope around the world.
As part of the renewal, State Farm is contributing $650,000 toward youth engagement programs and $150,000 to support the global housing nonprofit’s disaster resilience program, Habitat Strong.
Schneider Electric is renewing its long-standing partnership with Habitat and will contribute nearly $800,000 in monetary donations along with electrical equipment to help Habitat families reduce their utility costs.
Nissan has been a valuable partner to Habitat for more than 18 years and is renewing its commitment with an $800,000 donation.
This new partnership will help more families build and improve places to call home. The campaign sweepstakes features grand prize trips to MLB’s National and American League Championship Series games.
