Victoria knows a lot can happen in 20 years. In that time, she raised four children who have grown into fine adults and now has 11 grandchildren.
Four organizations will serve as keystone partners of Habitat for Humanity’s response to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, each making contributions of $1 million or more to support the Habitat Hammers Back initiative.
During this time of social distancing and COVID-19, Habitat for Humanity is still hard at work, pursuing many avenues to move forward our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Alongside volunteers from Habitat Philadelphia and The Home Depot Foundation’s associate-led volunteer force, homeowners Reginald and Pat have made their home into a place they can continue to thrive in.
For over 30 years, former first lady Rosalynn Carter dedicated her voice, time and energy to building and advocating for affordable housing alongside Habitat. She once sat down with us to share why the mission of a decent, affordable home kept her coming back year after year.
