Habitat for Humanity International and Wells Fargo & Company today announced an $8 million donation from the Wells Fargo Foundation that will support the construction and repairs of safe and affordable housing built in collaboration with 350 families in nearly 50 states.

To help families recover from Hurricane Michael, Verizon announced its foundation is providing $1 million in support of Habitat for Humanity’s recovery efforts. In addition, more than 20 volunteers from Verizon are on hand helping to raise the walls on the latest home being built in the Florida Panhandle.
Funds raised during “Hand In Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief Telethon” will help Habitat assist more families to repair or rebuild their homes.
Like many disaster-affected areas before them, communities now dazed and broken by names like Harvey and Irma also will be rebuilt and restored.
Over the next two years, the Whirlpool Foundation will allocate $2.5 million to help the global housing nonprofit construct stronger, more energy-efficient homes that are responsive to changing climate conditions and increasing climate hazards.
