Keeping climate change in mind

Earlier this year, Phala, Chariya and their four children moved into a climate-sensitive Habitat home they helped build Cambodia’s Battambang province. The look of their home is similar to others in the area — but the difference is in the details.

Habitat Hammers Back: One year progress report

One year after the historically devastating hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, Habitat for Humanity continues to work with affected communities in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

Habitat houses around the world

The affordable housing that your support makes possible might differ from place to place, but the hope you help build always remains the same.

Health education and intervention

“Habitat educated me,” says Yondella Hall. “I didn’t know leaking and standing water could affect my health.”

Making accessibility a reality

Jason’s disability didn’t stop him from partnering with Habitat for Humanity to build an accessible home for himself.

Habitat for Humanity applauds Senate passage of ROAD to Housing Act

We are encouraged by the commitment to housing that this bill demonstrates and support its provisions to streamline existing programs, increase the supply of affordable homes and preserve our aging housing stock.

The future is now

Every day a family spends in their Habitat home is a day of empowerment and opportunity.

2006–2010: Disaster Response programs

The Chile earthquake, the Haiti earthquake, Typhoon Ketsana, earthquakes in Indonesia, Cyclone Nargis, Cyclone Sidr and Hurricane Felix were some of the Disaster Response efforts we worked on from 2006 to 2010.

Because of this house poetry

When we ask Habitat homeowners what their homes make possible for them, their answers — just as they share them with us — fit together like poetry. The powerful poetry of lives changed and futures transformed.

A step up

A Habitat for Humanity house is a hand up, a step up for families who — many of them for the very first time — are achieving a decent, affordable place to live.
