Habitat for Humanity extends its deepest sympathies and prayers to the people of Lebanon in the wake of an explosion that has claimed more than 100 lives and devastated housing infrastructure in parts of Beirut.
Even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures undertaken by Habitat to ensure the safety of everyone with whom we work, our volunteers set out to use their skills in new, creative and socially distanced ways.
“It means the world to me. It gives me the actual ability to have my son come over without me having to physically help him up the steps and everything else,” says Robert, who was able to build a new ramp for his home with the support of Habitat and the Wells Fargo Foundation.
