Home Repair Client Coordinator

AmeriCorps National members serve the community in direct service and capacity building activities.

What will you do?

The home repair client coordinator builds and maintains the pipeline of homeowners by leading efforts to recruit and educate qualified individuals and families for the Home Repair program. They serve as the main point of contact as each potential homeowner goes through the application process. Together with the homeowner services staff, they help approve homeowners for the Home Repair program. The home repair coordinator will also be involved in outreach activities to spread information on the benefits of the home repair program to potential applicants. Typically serve Tuesday – Saturday on the build site.

  • Coordinate existing programs to recruit homeowner applicants for the Home Repair program.
  • Collaborate with applicants to orientate them on the program and assist individuals and families throughout the process of completing the home repair application.
  • Work with the homeowner services staff to review and select individuals and families based on established criteria and regulations.
  • Track and collect demographic data of homeowners selected Working on an online project and task management system to track the status of the applicants.
  • Optionally, and with authorization of the Home Ownership Director, help repair homes alongside homeowner families as they complete their home repair program requirements.

This position will focus on home repair and homeowner services aspects of Habitat affiliate operations.

At the end of each day, AmeriCorps members can rest and relax in free 3-bedroom condos owned by Habitat Metro Denver. Each unit has private bedrooms, a full kitchen, outdoor space and designated parking.   • Unique projects: This AmeriCorps member will be engaged in the Home Repair Program. This involves working on different types of outreach activities such as flyering, tabling, and info sessions. Once we reach our goal, it will be possible for the AmeriCorps volunteer to get involved in construction projects if she/he decides to do so with the Director of Homeownership’s authorization.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident at least 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
