Over the lifetime of the relationship, which began in 1999, Whirlpool Corp. has donated more than 241,000 major home appliances to nearly 197,000 Habitat households across the U.S.

Through the Urban and Rural Planning intervention line, UNACEM and the UNACEM Association have joined the regional initiative 100,000 Floors to Play On with the goal of building more than 16,000 m² of concrete floors in Peru in community sports fields, school playgrounds, community parks, health facilities, and community kitchens.

A través de la línea de intervención de Planificación Urbana y Rural, UNACEM y la Asociación UNACEM se suman a la iniciativa regional 100 mil pisos para jugar, con el objetivo de construir en Perú más de 16.000m² de pisos de concreto en losas deportivas comunitarias, patios de escuelas, parques comunitarios, establecimientos de salud y ollas comunes (o comedores comunitarios).

Hábitat para la Humanidad Guatemala realizó el XV Foro Nacional de Vivienda Social, generando así un espacio crucial para el diálogo, reflexión y colaboración entre diversos actores, tales como gobierno, ONG, especialistas en el sector de la construcción, académicos y sociedad civil.

At a press conference, Habitat highlighted the need for people-centered, inclusive housing solutions as well as its work in South Korea. Habitat also unveiled the ninth Asia-Pacific Housing Forum from Oct. 26-27, 2023, which will be held in South Korea for the first time.

The news was shared with a ceremonial passing of the hammer between Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region and Twin Cities Habitat during the closing ceremony of this year’s weeklong blitz build in Charlotte.
