Simpson Strong-Tie today announced it is going into its 14th year of partnership with Habitat for Humanity International. The Simpson Strong-Tie contribution allows Habitat to take preventive measures, building homes that are stronger and better able to withstand severe weather threats and natural disasters.
Maintaining the funding of the Self-help Homeownership Opportunity Program and the Section 4 capacity building program with proven outcomes will allow Habitat to continue supporting more than 1,400 affiliates nationwide to better meet the affordable housing needs in their communities.
The partnership will engage hundreds of Cotiviti employees working alongside Habitat homeowners and community members in homebuilding and renovations, as well as volunteering at their local Habitat for Humanity ReStores.
Long-time partner Tishman Speyer continues its 11-year tradition by donating the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree to Habitat.
Habitat has worked with communities in Quang Nam province for over 15 years, and it’s home to marginalized groups with great needs. This project will focus on building and showing examples of good, affordable latrines to help alleviate the sanitation issues these households face.
Several Habitat for Humanity corporate partners are coming together this holiday season to support the organization’s mission by raising funds to help make affordable homeownership more accessible to families in the U.S. and around the world.
The 2019 Delta Global Build takes place March 18-22, marking Delta’s 16th Global Build with Habitat for Humanity and the first build in Brazil.
