In 1991, five volunteers opened Habitat for Humanity’s first-ever ReStore in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Today, there are more than 1,000 ReStore locations across six countries, all contributing to Habitat’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

After Habitat Coshocton County held a Women Build last year, several women mentioned that their daughters also wanted to build for Habitat, so they decided to start a Girls Build.
By partnering with Habitat, families and communities transform their lives with the incredible effects of safe and affordable shelter, including improvements in health, safety, child development, economic opportunity and educational achievement.
