The U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources held a hearing to address proposed energy efficiency legislation and of the bills discussed at the hearing, only a few addressed residential energy efficiency, including SB 703, the Weatherization Enhancement and Local Energy Efficiency Investment and Accountability Act.
Bill HR 3808 would require the U.S. Government Accountability Office to assess potential risks and benefits of the proposed Federal Housing Finance Agency rule tightening membership requirements for the Federal Home Loan Banks before moving forward with implementation.
