Habitat partner: Lowe’s

Our work

Lowe’s and Habitat for Humanity have worked together for more than 20 years to build homes, communities and hope. As a national partner since 2003, Lowe’s has contributed more than US$94 million, helping more than 18,000 families as they improve the place they call home.

This year, Lowe’s awarded US$2 million in grants to 20 Habitat affiliates across the U.S., supporting nearly 200 home repair projects. Affiliates receiving these grants can apply funding to help with repairs that impact structural and critical home issues, preventative care and home system performance.

Lowe's logo is a blue house with Lowe's written in white over it.

Additionally, Lowe’s has been a strong supporter of Habitat’s biennial U.S. affiliate conference and Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, and they have previously provided funding for Habitat’s Cost of Home, neighborhood revitalization and Women Build programs. Habitat is one of Lowe’s national partners featured in their rotating round-up campaign in-store and online, and affiliates also benefit from the Lowe’s rebate program.

In 2026, Habitat is popping up in 10 cities worldwide with an art installation of 10 doors, featuring work from local artists and real homeowner stories. Lowe’s will be a featured partner in Orlando, April 18-19, with their own door, representing what’s possible with the foundation of a safe and decent home.

Lowe’s focused support for critical home repairs helps families ensure their homes remain safe and viable, helping them stay in the places they love.

Together, Lowe’s and Habitat for Humanity are working alongside families as they build and improve their homes and communities across the U.S.

  • A homeowner on the front porch of her white house in Franklin County, Virginia.

The place Sheila called home for nearly 70 years had a leaky roof and an inaccessible bathroom, but she lacked the finances to pay for the repairs herself. Habitat and Lowe’s helped Sheila repair her roof and bathroom, ensuring she can comfortably live in her beloved childhood home.

  • Homeowner stands on new wooden ramp

Patricia needed to build a ramp to help her son safely get in and out of their home. With the support of Habitat and Lowe’s, and help from volunteers, James now has a ramp, and Patricia has greater security and peace of mind.
