Mauk, Indonesia, is home to 90,000 people, with an average of four to five individuals per household. Around 35,000 live in extreme poverty. This project will help build decent, climate-resilient housing to help improve the lives of people living in extremely poor conditions.
Our Disaster Response staff helps disaster-affected affiliates organize community clean-up efforts, assess impact and develop a response plan based on needs and available resources.
Four organizations will serve as keystone partners of Habitat for Humanity’s response to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, each making contributions of $1 million or more to support the Habitat Hammers Back initiative.
