Since 1994, our work in Northern Ireland has focused on reconciliation and building strong, vibrant communities in which everyone can reach their full potential.
In 1991, five volunteers opened Habitat for Humanity’s first-ever ReStore in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Today, there are more than 1,000 ReStore locations across six countries, all contributing to Habitat’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Whether you’re a do-it-yourself hobbyist or a construction professional, the ReStore is a unique place to find the tools, appliances and materials you need to help complete or inspire your next building or decorating project. And those finds, in turn, help build so much more.

At the 2016 United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III), Habitat for Humanity welcomed the adoption of the New Urban Agenda. Habitat for Humanity and Wells Fargo have collaborated for nearly three decades, sharing a vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Nationwide, Wells Fargo Builds helped families build or improve 386 homes in 2021.
It was 1942, and on the outskirts of the rural South Georgia town of Americus, a radical experiment began. Koinonia Farm was the culmination of the lifelong passions of farmer and biblical scholar Clarence Jordan. On that farm, among rows of pecan trees, after years of struggles caused by boycotts and persecution, the seeds for Habitat for Humanity were sown.
