U.S. Senator Michael Bennet agreed to co-sponsor bipartisan bill S 1344 to clarify mortgage regulations to ensure Habitat affiliates may continue to receive voluntarily donated appraisals on homes that they build without the risk of financial penalty.
The award will be used to help Habitat affiliates across the U.S. further address the systemic barriers that have prevented many underserved populations, particularly Black Americans, from owning homes.

Habitat is seeking to raise $100 million to support the repair, rebuilding and new construction of homes to assist low- and moderate-income families in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.
The recent donation commemorates Rocket Community Fund’s sixth year supporting Habitat’s neighborhood revitalization efforts.
