The foundation will provide funding for Habitat’s long-term disaster recovery work, as well as support several local Habitat organizations’ efforts to help families affected by the housing crisis that has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through our Aging in Place program, Habitat aims to help older adults make the upgrades and repairs necessary to ensure their homes are accessible and safe to continue living in as they age. These stories exemplify our work to provide these accessible accommodations across the U.S.
By partnering with Habitat’s Aging in Place program, older adults across the U.S. are able to access the resources they need to age in their homes, while maintaining both their independence and quality of life. The grant will fund home builds, critical home repairs, and help address the historic gaps in Black homeownership.
Johnson Controls Foundation’s $750,000 donation supports Habitat’s mission of building homes, communities and hope around the world.
Schneider Electric is renewing its long-standing partnership with Habitat and will contribute nearly $800,000 in monetary donations along with electrical equipment to help Habitat families reduce their utility costs.
This year, the company is providing more than $6.3 million in grant funding through the 2024 Wells Fargo Builds program to support new home construction, renovation and repair of more than 280 affordable homes in 175 communities across the U.S.
