Students opening doors for their community and their futures

In 2015, 29th Street Road in Evans, Colorado, was a plot of undeveloped land. In 2019, it is a growing neighborhood of Habitat homes, 14 so far, transformed in part by high school students who are changing lives — including their own.

David wanted nothing more than to provide a safe and decent home for his young son and daughter. Now, with the support of Habitat and the Wells Fargo Foundation, his family lives in an affordable home where they can thrive.

Love never quits

It was 1942, and on the outskirts of the rural South Georgia town of Americus, a radical experiment began. Koinonia Farm was the culmination of the lifelong passions of farmer and biblical scholar Clarence Jordan. On that farm, among rows of pecan trees, after years of struggles caused by boycotts and persecution, the seeds for Habitat for Humanity were sown.
