NAIROBI, October 15, 2025 — A new initiative funded by the Swiss Capacity Building Facility (SCBF) is set to improve access to affordable housing finance and insurance solutions for low and middle income households in Kenya. The solutions propose to use home improvement as a pathway to enhance climate resilience and lower the disease burden of malaria and other climate induced health illnesses
Habitat for Humanity International and Wells Fargo have worked together for over 30 years to increase housing affordability and help build more prosperous communities. Today, Wells Fargo is donating $4.6 million through the 2025 Wells Fargo Builds program to support new home construction, renovation and repair to benefit more than 200 families in more than 130 communities across the U.S.
We are encouraged by the commitment to housing that this bill demonstrates and support its provisions to streamline existing programs, increase the supply of affordable homes and preserve our aging housing stock.
